Welcome to Nottinghamshire Local Medical Committee

Nottinghamshire Local Medical Committee (LMC) is the only statutory representative body for GPs and their Practices in Nottinghamshire.

We represent around 150 Practices and over 800 GPs, whether Partners, Salaried GPs, or locums. We exist solely to represent, advise, and support GPs and their Practices.

Nottinghamshire LMC comprises up to 18 elected members who are responsible for making policy and directing the work of the secretariat who represent and support constituents on a daily basis.

The LMC is arguably the longest-lived organisation operating in the NHS today having being established in 1912.
