There are a number of organisations and charities offering support for a variety of mental health-related topics.

We have collated these together, but if there is something you would like to see added, please email us.

Support

  • Turning Point Nottinghamshire. is Mental Health Helpline available 9am-11pm 7 days per week for anyone of any age who needs emotional support or information about what help is available locally for people struggling with their mental health. The helpline number is 0300 555 0730 or for access to their online mental health resources visit the turning point website.
  • Saneline
    Information and a national mental health helpline, text service and online forum offering specialist support to anyone affected by mental illness or their families and friends.

  • Samaritans
    24-hour free confidential telephone and email support. You can remain anonymous and you do not have to be suicidal to call.

  • The Campaign Against Living Miserably
    CALM is dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. You can contact them 5pm-midnight, 365 days a year.
    Their website states: “Our helpline is for men in the UK who are down or have hit a wall for any reason, who need to talk or find information and support.”

    Mental health charity offering support and resources for all aspects of mental health

    Support services for anyone affected by mental health including family and friends of sufferers.

  • Association for Postnatal Depression
    Helpline: 020 7386 0868 (10am-2pm Mon, Weds and Fri and 10am- 5pm, Tues and Thurs).
  • MDF The Bipolar Organisation
    Their services include a national network of 130 support groups in England and Wales, a legal advice line, information and publications, travel insurance and life assurance, and self management for people with bipolar disorder.
