Nurse/Nurse Prescriber, Queensbower Surgery
The sessions are likely to be in the afternoon during weekdays or Thurday morning, but may in the future involve a potential shift to some morning shifts as well as potentially some weekend work.
The nurse practitioner should ideally be able to do long-term condition management as well as minor illness. This would ideally including asthma, COPD, hypertension, cardiovascular risk management, diabetes, as well as be able to do cervical smears, immunisations as well as health checks including learning disability and other groups. Hormone injections and other injections e.g. depo may also be involved. The job may entail doing home visits to see the less mobile patients at home.
Audits including infection control audits, drug/vaccine monitoring, clinical audits, and recall may also be involved.
Non nurse-prescribers should also be able to do similar things without the minor illness and prescribing.
Pay rates are negotiable. We are ideally looking for a nurse(s) to start in September.
