Position: Executive Medical Director
Practice: NEMS CBS Ltd
Salary: £130K pro-rata + Pension Scheme + Unsocial Enhancements
Hours: Two days per week in a leadership capacity, plus 12 hours per month working clinically in the NEMS service in a variety of sessions during daytime and Out Of Hours periods.
Location: Fanum House, 484 Derby Road, Nottingham, NG7 2GW and other NEMS locations at Nottingham Station Street, Queen’s Medical Centre Nottingham, Kings Mill Hospital Sutton-in-Ashfield, Newark Hospital
Overview of the Service:
NEMS currently operates 5 main services: (1) An Out of Hours Primary Care service within Greater Nottinghamshire serving a patient population of 722,000; (2) An Out of Hours Primary Care service within Mid Notts serving a patient population of 300,000, with locations at Kingsmill Hospital and Newark Hospital. (3) A Primary Care Service integrated within the Urgent Treatment Unit in the A&E Department at QMC, (4) A 24 hour walk-in primary care service adjacent to Kings Mill Hospital A&E, Mansfield and (5) A registered GP Practice of 10,500 patients.
NEMS works in collaboration with Greater Notts and Mid-Notts A+E delivery board and supports the implementation of the NHS long term plan.

Overview of the role:
The post holder will be a voting member of NEMS Main Board, will need to be a practicing General Practitioner and will be required to be part of the NEMS’ rota for the delivery of some clinical sessions across our range of services.
The core purpose of this post is to take Executive responsibility for maintaining and continuously improving the quality and effectiveness of medical and clinical services across NEMS’ services, including governance and quality assurance. The post holder will be responsible to assure high standards of clinical care and excellent service delivery to all patients. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Director of Clinical Delivery to provide Executive clinical leadership and representation of NEMS within all forums associated with urgent care provision for Nottinghamshire.
