Remote access to records

A surgery has implemented mobile technology to help care for housebound patients.
Honeypot Medical Centre in Stanmore now uses EMIS mobile, which is a software program that is loaded on to a tablet (iPad or Android device) and wirelessly downloads the patient’s clinical data from the EMIS clinical system.
This helps when visiting housebound patients, as they no longer need to print out and bring a brief, two-page limited summary of the patient’s record.
