Nottinghamshire LMC has launched S.H.O.P, an initiative aimed at new practices and processes for general practice across Nottinghamshire
Nottinghamshire LMC is working with a number of practices cross the city and county which would like to explore the appetite for shared nursing roles.
The organisations that commission and provide health and social care services across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County have published their joint five year Sustainability and Transformation Plan (STP).
General practice is at risk of losing £33million in 2016/17 through underspending by Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), and up to £760m in 2020 through the roll out of regional NHS plans, according to Royal College of General Practitioners’ chairman Dr Maureen Baker.
Retaining GPs must be as big a priority as recruiting new ones, the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) has told the Government.
Professor Maureen Baker, chairman of the RCGP, has written to Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt urging him to make retaining the GP workforce a priority.
